tweeul8r (pronounced like "c u l8r") is a transpiler: a program for converting twine 1 stories exported in twee format to Casio BASIC - a dialect of BASIC compatible with Casio graphing calculators - or, alternatively, as static HTML page(s).

it supports two BASIC output formats: CTF (a format designed for human readibility and/or emulators) and CAT (a format that can be uploaded to calculators via transfer software).

in addition, it also supports two static HTML formats: a single-file version containing the entire story in one page, and a multi-file version where each passage is its own page. these can be viewed locally in a browser, hosted as a website to share, or even converted into an ebook to play on e-readers.

how to use:

• write a story using twine 1
• export the story as a twee source file
• copy the twee source into the input text box below
• select the output format (CTF, CAT, single- or multi-file HTML)
• click the 'convert' button
• copy the output BASIC or HTML, or download the file(s)

to play:

• CASIO BASIC: transfer to a calculator or use an emulator
• HTML (single-file): open story_title.html in a browser
• HTML (multi-file): put all pages in the same directory, and open index.html in a browser

limitations (tweeul8r's twee compatibility is limited both by the constraints of the target platform(s) as well as my own time and motivation):

• max of 35 passages per story
• max of 84 characters per line of text
• text must be UPPERCASE latin alphabet characters (A-Z) or basic punctuation
• macros are not supported
